How to build a Telegram second brain for saving and searching links (n8n)
The problem
Links you send yourself in chats get lost. You want to save them in one tap and later ask questions about what you saved.
Tools needed
- n8n
- Telegram bot
- Jina Reader
- Google Sheets
- Supabase (free tier)
- Gemini embeddings
Step-by-step recipe
- Create a Telegram AI agent that sorts each message: a URL is saved, a question is searched, anything else gets a short how-to reply.
- For saving, call a webhook that normalises the URL and reads the page with Jina Reader.
- Have an AI 'librarian' write a summary and reuse existing categories.
- Upsert the entry into Google Sheets by URL and embed the full text into Supabase.
- Give the agent two search tools: one over the Sheet, one over the page text.
Copyable prompt
You are my link librarian. When I send a URL: summarise the page in 2 sentences, pick 1-2 categories from this list [EXISTING CATEGORIES] (create a new one only if nothing fits), and save it. When I ask a question: search my saved links and answer in 3 bullets with the matching links. If nothing matches, say so. Otherwise: reply with one line explaining how to use you.

What the builder reported
The author says it works: resending a link updates the existing entry instead of duplicating it, and unreadable pages aren't filed. No usage numbers were shared.
These are the source author's own claims. AgentRecipes has not tested or verified them.
Watch out for
- Setup needs a Telegram bot token, Supabase, Gemini embeddings, a shared header-auth credential and your own webhook URL in the save tool.
