How to mine Reddit threads into Notion insight reports with n8n and Gemini
The problem
Marketers want to know what customers complain about and ask for in a subreddit, without reading hundreds of threads.
Tools needed
- n8n
- Reddit RSS
- Bright Data
- Gemini
- Notion
Step-by-step recipe
- Schedule the workflow for a chosen subreddit.
- Read the subreddit's RSS feed for recent post URLs.
- Send the URLs to Bright Data in a batch and poll (every 30 seconds in the source) until the snapshot is ready.
- Download titles, comments and upvotes and have a Gemini agent extract concerns, themes and marketing insights.
- Convert the output into Notion blocks on a new page.
Copyable prompt
You analyse Reddit discussions for [BRAND / PRODUCT CATEGORY]. From the posts and comments below, report:
1. Top 5 recurring problems or complaints, with links to the threads.
2. Top 5 things people wish existed.
3. Words and phrases people use to describe the problem (for copywriting).
4. Brands mentioned, with sentiment.
Quote at most one short phrase per point. Don't invent numbers.

What the builder reported
The author demoed it on a skincare subreddit and says it runs end to end without manual steps. No volume or accuracy numbers; multi-subreddit support was still future work.
These are the source author's own claims. AgentRecipes has not tested or verified them.
Watch out for
- Converting the agent's Markdown into valid Notion blocks was the hardest part.
- Respect Reddit's and Bright Data's terms for the data you collect.
