How to write, design and publish social posts from a Google Sheet with Make

Content & social mediaMake

The problem

Producing a caption and an image for every post, then scheduling it, takes much longer than coming up with the idea.

Tools needed

Step-by-step recipe

  1. Add a Google Sheets row with the post idea, audience and tone.
  2. In Make, have OpenAI write the caption.
  3. Generate an image with an image model and upload it to Cloudinary.
  4. Write the assets back to the sheet and send a Slack approval request.
  5. After approval in Slack, publish via Buffer.

Copyable prompt

Prompt template
Write a [PLATFORM] caption for [BRAND].
Idea: {{idea}}
Audience: {{audience}}
Tone: {{tone}}
Rules: the first line must work on its own; max [150] words; one call to action; max 3 relevant hashtags at the end; no claims we can't back up.
Also return a one-sentence image prompt that matches the caption, in this style: [STYLE NOTES].

What the builder reported

The poster says a sheet row becomes a published post in under two minutes and calls it consistent, while still keeping a human approval step.

These are the source author's own claims. AgentRecipes has not tested or verified them.
