How to email daily ClickUp task digests to each project's stakeholders with Make

Team operationsMake

The problem

Stakeholders want a daily view of open action items for their project, without logging into ClickUp.

Tools needed

Step-by-step recipe

  1. In ClickUp, keep a master action-item list linked to project and contact lists so each task carries its stakeholders' emails.
  2. Schedule a Make scenario (6 AM in the source) that lists incomplete tasks.
  3. Iterate over the tasks and group them by project with a Text Aggregator, mapping individual fields.
  4. Send one digest email per project to that project's stakeholder email field.
  5. Test outputs and email format before switching on live sends.

Copyable prompt

Optional AI step to make the digest readable:
Turn this list of open tasks for project [PROJECT] into a short email: a one-line status, then tasks grouped by owner with due dates, overdue items first. Max 200 words. Use only the tasks provided.

Tasks: {{tasks}}

What the builder reported

The first version failed: the aggregator pulled whole ClickUp objects, so the email showed raw JSON. Commenters said the fix was mapping individual fields and grouping by project name. No finished result was reported.

These are the source author's own claims. AgentRecipes has not tested or verified them.
